So finally the first post by your precious Tones and it’s a delicious pizza dough recipe! Sadly i’m not too good with writing but i hope this comes out good. This is a pizza recipe i use for making 2 large pizzas. Although i usually have to double the amount when i eat with my family as they devour 2 pizzas like it’s nothing.
Here we go!
30g of fresh yeast (yes. use fresh yeast. it gives a better result than dry yeast.)
2dl of water that is at around 37° C
1tsp of salt
3tbsp of olive oil
5dl of wheat flour or pizza flour
Now let’s start making the damn thing!
First of all you want to mix the yeast into the water. Checking the temperature of the water is easy, if it’s around the same as your hand, you’re good to go!
Add the salt and oil
add the flour slowly, knead uintil the dough does not stick to the bowl. It should be somewhat elastic and not too sticky. If you feel like it’s too sticky, you can add some flour as you go. This recipe is very forgiving so it’s very hard to ruin it!
After the dough is good, you need to let it rise for 30 minutes in a clean bowl. oil the bowl with some olive oil and give a small coating of oil to the dough as well. That makes sure it does not stick and rises evenly. Remember to cover it with either some plastic wrap or a clean tea towel!
Once the dough has risen, you can cut it and shape it to the size you want. Now you just have to bake it at 200° C for 12 to 16 minutes. keep an eye on it!
Pro tip: if you want the best results with the pizza, get a pizza stone and heat it up before sticking your pizza to an oven!
